Asbestos

WEEE

Electrical and electronic equipment can no longer be disposed of with your usual waste or recyclables. All waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) must now be taken to an approved authorised transfer facility for recovery.

WEEE includes non-hazardous equipment (such as toasters, coffee machines and videos), IT equipment (including CPUs, laptops and mainframes), hazardous equipment (including fluorescent lamps and lead batteries) and equipment with ozone depleting substances (such as air conditioning appliances and freezers).

What this means to you...

As a user of electrical and electronic equipment (and a resulting producer of WEEE) you must dispose of your WEEE correctly. The exact implications of disposal vary depending on when you bought the equipment (before or after 13th August 2005), from whom you bought it and the exact nature of that equipment.

Since the company was formed, Redbridge Recycling have been specialists in office and business waste cardboard collection, recycling and recovery. With our own waste transfer station and fleet of licensed vehicles our drivers are all fully trained and familiar with handling office and business waste cardboard.

 

Plastic Recycling

Redbridge Recycling can recycle plastics of all descriptions and supply containers for collection. We will purchase any baled or large quantities. If your business produces only small amounts of plastic and cardboard we may be able to help you recycle both materials in the same container to help reduce the number of containers needed on your site.

 

Metal Waste
